Marty is the builder behind Cat Enclosures Hobart.
20 years of building
Marty brings 20 years of building experience to every catio, cat run and tunnel we put up.
Timber and steel, welding included
Marty's trades are carpentry and steel work, so a single build can bring together a timber frame, a custom gate and a galvanised mesh tunnel.

Since December 2021, we've built catios, cat runs, tunnels and netted enclosures for cat owners around Greater Hobart.

Cats love height and a view of the garden, and a tunnel gives them both on the way from the house to the catio.
Marty designed and tested the tunnels himself, and each one is made locally to the exact measurements of the property it's built for.

Designed for the family, with the cats at the centre
Every design we create works for the people in the house as well as the cats.
We plan it around the way your family lives, and your cats' wellbeing guides every choice.
What we talk through on the first visit
- How you use the deck, verandah or yard
- Where your cats like to spend the day
- Which walls, windows and doors the enclosure can join
- Where you need a gate to come and go
Plenty of designs grow on that first visit, once you can see what's possible in your own space.
From there, you get a free quote with a fixed price before any work starts.
